Texas Rose began as a duo...Sandi Marola singing, yodeling and playing guitar with sister Ginger Evans on bass and singing harmony. They began performing more than ten years ago, for children's enrichment programs and cowboy gatherings out west in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Wyoming. Both sisters had been involved in music since grammer school and have roots in Bluegrass music.
Now, Sandi lives in the Poconos and performs an interesting blend of Old Time Folk, Cowgirl Songs and Range Ballads, Western Swing and Bluegrass...real Americana Music. Performing as a solo to a five piece band "Texas Rose" has shared this Americana style music in PA, NY and NJ.
Multiple musicians have been a part of sharing Sandi's music with the public, offering a blend of skills and experience in the area. "I'm very fortunate to have some great musician friends to join me on various venues."
As a singer song writer Sandi enjoys solo performances where she is more likely to perform some of her own material. She loves the heritage music and therefore writes in a style that is timeless.
Sandi is very involved in helping promote, organize and work as a volunteer for numerous Bluegrass Festivals. If you catch her performance at one of these events don't be surprised if you hear her put some swing into a few Bill Monroe tunes.
